Natural Ireland

No matter where you go or what you do in Ireland, our spectacular and unique landscape provides a wonderful setting. Whether you’re looking for some adventure activities in one of our forest parks, or getting away from it all to experience the wildness and wildlife in our national parks or boglands, or having some great family fun at one of our many beaches around the coast, the beauty and uniqueness of Ireland’s Natural Heritage is all around and waiting to be discovered.

Discover Ireland’s Gardens

Ireland has developed an international reputation among garden enthusiasts for the quality of our gardens. From large, formal gardens which provide hours of enjoyment, to smaller, more intimate gardens that may only be open to visitors for certain periods of the year, there are wonderful places to visit across the country.

Discover Ireland’s Beaches and Coastline

Why not head to the coast to explore our beaches – from secluded, private coves, to long family-perfect strands and Blue Flag beaches.

Nature and Wildlife

Ireland has wonderful opportunities to experience nature and wildlife first hand. Our national parks are a great place to start, with walking trails and information on the plants and animals that live there.

Try a visit to the Glenveagh, Ballycroy, Connemara, Killarney or Wicklow Mountains National Parks to find out more about the nature around us.

There are areas of outstanding natural significance that are internationally recognised, such as the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher (pictured top right).  And there are experiences and tours that bring us closer to wildlife – from whales and dolphins to birdlife.
